Scholar mystic from USA to promote the science of healing and personal transformation through the use of Mind-Sound Technology for the first time in Singapore.
Singapore, 14 September 2008 -- Who would have thought that you could 'oo' and 'ah' your way into a better life? But it is possible, according to Dattatreya Siva Baba, a scholar mystic based in the USA, who has been teaching the mind-sound connection all over the world for the past 15 years.
People who have practiced his mind-sound exercises, usually referred to as sound meditation, have experienced profound positive changes in their careers, personal lives and financial standing, just to name a few. Though it may sound a little far-fetched, sound meditation is derived from a 2000-year old Indian yogic tradition that is proven to be effective through scientific research. The system was initially developed in the 1970s based on research in the fields of linguistics, neurobiology and the science of sound by Dattatreya Siva Baba himself, who is a scholar in the areas of sound and language. Marrying the ancient wisdoms and scientific findings, he founded the Mind-Sound TechnologyTM that uses specific sounds to enhance cognitive functioning and intelligence.
The Technology is based on a surprisingly simple premise. A large portion of our mind's thinking and perceiving processes are based on language. Without language, there is nothing much left to call a mind. You cannot think a thought without words! According to Dattatreya Siva Baba, language is nothing more than sounds with meaning. These sounds form the basis of our consciousness and intelligence. Thus, as intelligence is dependent on the mind, and the mind is dependent on sound, then human intelligence is very much influenced by sound. "For personal transformation to be effected there must be a change in the mind. So changing the mind equates to changing the sounds within our minds," said Dattatreya Siva Baba.
Anyone, from as young as three years old, can practice sound meditations. Practitioners vocalise specific sounds that are associated with the area of improvement they are working towards. For example, if a stressed out executive wants to create a higher level of thinking and energy, the ‘ah' and ‘oo' sounds are used. A student who wants to learn better and faster can use the ‘ai' and ‘ee' sounds. For the hyperactive child or the aggressive man who wants a more peaceful behaviour, the ‘va' sound is used. Each session takes only two to five minutes to complete and has been proven to be effective as long as it is practiced on a consistent basis. These sounds are also directed and focused onto different parts of the body that are also associated with the intended improvements which must be guided by a trained coach. The meaning of the sound and the process need not be understood for it to be effective.
Though deceptively simple in nature, the effects of sound meditations are far reaching. Dattatreya Siva Baba has developed another arsenal of sound meditations that are targeted towards helping people attract more money, a loving relationship and good family life, and more vibrant health. Some Singaporean pioneer practitioners have already experienced the benefits. Rohan H. created more abundance in his life over the few years of practicing sound meditations. "I not only doubled my income but by using the "ara kara" meditation and sounds for buying a house, I also acquired a dream home as a fantastic investment opportunity," said Rohan. Sarra R. created a more loving, happy and harmonious family life with her husband and daughter.
"Today, many people are suffering from a lack of money, relationship and love. More and more people are falling prey to diseases. Sound meditation is a simple and practical tool that can help people alleviate their existential and spiritual issues like personality and appearance, financial potential, material comforts, loving relationships, health, enemies and gaining enlightenment," says Dattatreya Siva Baba.
Mind-Sound TechnologyTM is beginning to be noticed and taken seriously. The World Knowledge Forum in South Korea has invited Dattatreya Siva Baba to give a presentation on Mind-Sound Technology for global prosperity on 14-16 October 2008. Richard Branson from Virgin Group is presiding over the forum. Other notable presenters include Howard John, former prime minister of Australia, Levin Richard, president of Yale University, Christopher Cole, Chairman of Goldman-Sachs and Komiyama Hiroshi, President of University of Tokyo.
